On education I would like to say “Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today”.
In our country education is seen as a medium to reach social as well as economic heights and not as a medium of knowledge, due to this the value of education is degrading in our country. Students are continuously competing against each other for securing admissions in high schools and colleges, or for getting placement. This has turned the lives of students into a never-ending race.

Our education system promotes rote learning instead of putting emphasis on understanding based learning. The student who is a good mugger score well in the exams than the student who does not. This system crushes the creativity and uniqueness of the students and many a time lead them towards suicide.
Today the main problem with the education system is that education, which is considered as an important part of one’s life, is being commercialized by giving admission to students through corruption like paying huge sums of money in form of capitation fee to secure admission and buy degrees.
We have done a lot to increase the quality of education in our country by creating premier institutions like Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs), Indian Institute of Technology (IITs) etc, improving technology in providing education through the use of smart classrooms and computers but still, a lot more needs to be done for the future of our country, the students.
We all dream of an education system which is just and fair, where students are admitted on basis of merit and not on basis of money. Education is treated as an instrument to increase the standard of living through which the whole nation can grow. Only we can work together and achieve it through cooperation and mutual help.
It is high time to change our education system and if we cannot understand this now we will have to suffer later.

our education system is a money minting machine system. my child is in class 3 and we pay almost 1.5 lakhs every year + 22,000 for bus transport. my second child will start going to school from next year. imagine the kind of stress we have as parents. thankfully my child’s current school is concerned for studies. we are happy that there is focus on reading, spoken language, debates, discussions, projects and
as well as extracurricular activities.

Our progress as a nation can be no swifter than our progress in education. The human mind is our fundamental resource.
